Deep Tissue Massage

Slow deep movements to release stress and tension throughout the muscles in the body

Deep tissue is a type of massage with a purpose of therapeutic benefits that may include decreased muscle tension, pain and adhesions. Deep Tissue massage uses slow deep movements to release stress and tension throughout the muscles in the body.

Using a blend of long, short strokes, cross fiber to break down knots and adhesions in the body. Leaving you relaxed and rejuvenated.

Less massage cream is applied to more precisely address the deeper tissue structure below the surface. Deep tissue massage works on the deeper layers of the muscles using a variety of massage techniques.

Deep tissue may require more feedback from you on pressure and pain levels than a passive relaxation massage, like Swedish. If you receive deep tissue massages often or are active in fitness or sports, your massage pressure threshold will differ from someone who’s less active.

Also when you receive massage from the same therapist, after a few massage treatments, he or she will become more familiar with your body type and be able to serve you with more precision. In addition, our massage therapists take detailed SOAP notes to have a better understanding of your needs and best serve you.
